Primary bathroom with a freestanding tub
A full primary bathroom remodel. The drop-in tub and the dated vanity came out; a freestanding soaking tub, a glass-enclosed walk-in shower and a new double vanity went in.
The job
The room had a drop-in tub, a long dark wood vanity with a makeup counter, and one wide wall mirror. The whole room was taken back and rebuilt: a freestanding tub in place of the built-in one, a walk-in shower with frameless glass, and a double vanity with separate mirrors and lighting.
What we found behind the walls
What went in
- Freestanding soaking tub with floor-mounted filler
- Walk-in shower with frameless glass, marble-look tile and a built-in niche
- Double vanity with quartz top
- New floor tile throughout
